If you know me even a little, then you know that I LOVE food. Like shoot for the moon, over the fence, world series kind of thing. (Yes, I just quoted It Takes Two and I don’t regret it!) Anyway, it’s the truth. My love for food runs deep.
I get so excited when I get to try new recipes. It’s like a small adventure in my kitchen. So, for me, being able to go to a trusted source and find a recipe I know my family and I will love is the secret to my kitchen success!
Over the years I have tried many recipes off Pinterest and it has allowed me to find some amazing food blogs. Now when I get the itch to try something new I have 5 trusted blogs I can scour instead of diving into the unknown depths of Pinterest.
We have all gotten lost there a time or two, but not anymore.
Now with my little secret at your fingertips you will be able to easily find simple, delicious, and family friendly recipes that will have your kids even coming back for seconds.
Instead of wasting more of your precious time let’s just dive right in.
Ohh boy, you’re probably going to hate me for sharing this blog with you. Why? Well, because with it you may gain a few pounds. Sorry not sorry!
The founder of Sugar Spun Run, Sam, creates some of the most delicious desserts that will have your mouth watering before you finish reading the recipe title. Trust me! I love her stuff so much I have subscribed in such a way that when I open my computer I get a notification every time she posts a new recipe. *I have a Mac so I’m not sure if this works with PC’s.*
Anyway, her recipe “The Worst Chocolate Chip Cookies” is my go to recipe and once you try them you’ll understand why.
This is by far my most favorite food blog of all time. Not only is it well laid out which makes it easy to navigate, but her recipes are easy and family friendly. Meaning my kids like 90% of the stuff I make from her site.
My favorite thing about Kimber’s food blog is that she does a weekly meal plan that gets posted to her blog and emailed out every Friday. Each meal plan has dinners for Monday through Friday (including sides), a dessert, and even an appetizer. Most items on the meal plan are linked to the recipe.
Talk about easy! I don’t know about you, but I love easy.
This food blog will not let you down, promise!

Chungah is a FANTASTIC cook. She creates some of the easiest and most delicious recipes, all while making it simple for the average cook to recreate. Plus, her presentation is on point. Just take a look at her blog and you’ll get what I’m talking about.
Her pictures are so appealing that I can scroll through her blog and without reading the name of the recipe my mouth is already watering. Heck, it could be cow’s liver and she’d still make you want to try it just by looking her picture.
Don’t worry, her recipes don’t include cow’s liver. (At least all the ones that I’ve tried.)
The thing I love most about her navigation is that you can browse her recipes by season/holiday. This makes trying to come up with a recipe for a cold winter day, an outdoor summer picnic, or a fun game day appetizer ridiculously simple.
This blog is the BOMB! The founder, Sabrina, is a professionally trained chef, so she knows what the heck she’s doing. Now, I know what you’re probably thinking.
“Ohh professional Chef, well that means all her food is too fancy, overly complicated, and takes way too long to cook.”
WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
Sabrina may be professionally trained but she knows how to cook food that’s appealing, tastes great, and can be recreated by moms everywhere. Her food is down to Earth and family friendly.
I mean come on, the girl recreated the freaking Big Mac and it looks 10x better than what McDonalds sales to the masses every single day.
Randa from The Bewitchin Kitchen does a great job at giving you awesome recipes for all thing’s food related. She has dinners, lunches, appetizers, sauces, desserts, drinks, and even an amazing section where you can find recipes based on your diet of choice.
So, if you’re gluten free, dairy free, paleo, or whole 30 then The Bewitchin Kitchen is the perfect blog for you to find some great recipes that your whole family will love.
Well now you know it. The secret to my kitchen success. I recommend bookmarking each of these websites and subscribing to their email lists. By doing this you will have these blogs at your fingertips whenever you’re in need of a new recipe.
If you try out any of their stuff please comment below and share what you loved so we can all add it to our go to recipe book. Enjoy and get to cooking!
